OK, I'm confused... back in the day (2 months ago) when I used my Treo 700wx, I could store programs/software on the SD card. That was a large part of my memory. I hear people talking about 8gb and 16 gb cards... for what? is there that many ringtones out there that I'm missing? I didn't think that you could determine where a program is stored when you load it to your device... Why am I taking a long ride on the short bus for this one? What is everyone putting on their cards that they need such huge space for?
With the BB you can't as of yet put applications on the card.
But you can load pictures, full length movies, music!
An 8 gig card will hold about 20 or so full movies or about 1600 songs!
New Curve arrived today. The documentation makes it sound like I'll need a micro SD card for memory management. Is this true if I won't mess with videos, photos, or music? Does the SD card also help with making sure my e-mails don't get deleted, etc., or is it just needed for media?
Here is a tip for mem. card shoppers who have Verizon, I got my BB at the Verizon store inside of Circuit City and got them to price match the 4GB on Amazon. They looked it up and gave me the same price, less than half of what was on the CC sticker.
