What do you mean? Please elaborate. You can go back to the home window when your listening to music and open other apps, if thats what you mean. Just press the escape button to go back to the main menu.

I mean like while a song is playing a can go to my texts for example and send and recieve texts while listening to music.

yes you can text and surf the net while listening to music. shuts off for calls and some 3rd party apps
