Recently, my blackberry pearl (8100) has been denying me the opportunity to view or play any files off my memory card. I try to open jpg and mp3 files and the following message comes up.

"Unable to display file/Media Card/Blackberry/pictures/96_image.jpg" for pictures

and

"Unable to display file/Media Card/Blackberry/music/FooFighters - Best of You.mp3" for music.

In addition, I have tried rebooting the Blackberry via turning it off with the power button, letting the battery drain, and also disconnecting the battery. Each trial has produced the following phrase at start up

"Uncaught exception: application registry.wait for (0xac3ae76427d17f19) timeout."

Can someone please throw me a hand with this? Thankyou much.

Have you installed any 3rd party applications?

If not, I'd say you need to wipe the device and reload the OS.

(Do a backup first!)
