Hi,
The specs of a BB 8220 says it has BB maps.
Even my application list shows BB maps.
I do not have any icon anywhere that links to the maps.

Am I missing anything. I used DM and tried to update, but still do not see it.

I verified the LBS.alx file, it did not have the _vendorid line too..

(My friend with BB Pearl has the maps icon and can see the maps.)
Is there a way to get that. Atleast see the maps.. if not the directions.

Do you have a data plan? becuase when I didn't have a data plan I didn't have blackberry maps. If you do then either try resending your service books or re registering in the host routing table under advanced options.

Should it not atleast show up the icon ?

Odd thing is that the Peak that I was referring above also does not have data plan.

Does any one else have a flip with no data plan and have a maps icon.
