After dropping my black 8100 in a puddle and rendering the keyboard unusable, I bought a used ruby 8100 off Craigslist. But this one has a different version of the Maps application, and I can't figure out how to get my previous (superior) maps back.
The biggest difference is that my old maps used to allow me to view directions and the map on the same screen, allowing me to thumb through the directions turn-by-turn and view the corresponding point on the map at the same time. Now, I can only either view directions, which displays a text-only screen with the directions, or view the map, which displays only the route on a map. No option to overlay directions on the map. Any idea how to restore that?
