I was sending an sms to a friend of mine and the 8220 shut off. It reset itself, and now the front screen wont show texts when they arrive. I have the .180 on it and have looked in the settings and in the external notifications the "Display Notification Details" is set to always, and the "Display Message Preview" is set to yes. Does anyone have a suggestion to restore this feature? Will a battery pull do the trick?

Yeah that will fix it, I got the same problem when I was on .180 D: you should consider update it (: I'm on .278 and love it! There is a new OS but I haven't try it

Thanks! I'm a little leery about doing the updates to the OS. I seem to have ability to ruin electronics when I do things like that.

I had that happen to me to. And for weeks it wouldn't display that. And for an unrelated reason, I did a battery pull and it came back.
