lost an important message and need to get it back!

Hi, my friend has the blackberry 8130(Pearl), and he has given me his blackberry pearl to try to recover an important message that was deleted. I don't know why, but he decided to wipe everything off his blackberry, and then after realized he needs this message.

I tried an EFS(Embedded File System) Recovery Program, and it didn't find anything.

Is there anything else I can do?

I think that your message has gone. When the device was wiped, certain parts of the internal memory were set to zero. Messages are stored in the internal memory so you heroic efforts with the Media Card were to no avail.

Welcome to CB. Sorry but there isn't anything you can do unless your friend has a back up copy which has the message saved in it.
