I updated my desktop software with the new 4.5 and I read
on the blackberry site that it is not available for all devices.
Is this the wrong one to use for my 8100 Pearl Red?
I want to get my audio working properly and am not sure
that I am doing the updates correctly...any help here would
be very appreciated....
DM 4.5 works fine with a 8100 red pearl. I upgraded to that a few days ago. I haven't been brave enough to update the bberry's OS to 4.5 as it hasn't been released out of beta in the US as of yet.
How does one update the BB to 4.5?? Do you just sync??
You have to have the OS installed onto your PC. Don't confuse the Desktop Manager version 4.5 with the OS 4.5 as they are not the same thing. Look at the thread at the top of the list for this forum about upgrading your OS and you will be able to see how it is done. Unfortunately the 4.5 versions of the OS people are using are either from Vodaphone or a pure beta version. ATT and Rogers should be the first in North America to have the software when RIM makes the formal release.
