Hi, I have just bought an unlocked 2nd hand pearl 8100. Currently the internet / email don't work and I have been told to enter the following details - however I can't find out how to enter them, can someone please let me know how to navigate the menus. thanks.

Even if you can tell me how to enter just one or two settings it would be much better than nothing. At the moment I can't find the route to any of them.

APN (gateway)
homepage
proxy
port number
username / password

Options > advanced options > TCP is where you to enter the APN details. You don't need the proxy numbers etc

Do you have a Blackberry data plan? .

Hi, thanks a lot. I have entered the APN. I wrote 'internet', which is what my provider instructed me to do. Restarted the phone and I still have "data connection refused at the top" and gprs in small letters.

No I don't have a blackberry data plan, I have a fixed maximum daily charge for data 1.2€.

So, no luck so far. Any ideas?

I think you need a data plan for the e-mail the internet i'm not sure...

Yeah you do need data for email and internet so your signal will continue to say gprs instead of GPRS
