I am not very smart and cannot install my sim. Would someone take a pix of the exact place a sim installs. I find no notes or opening instructions under battery.

Go to the second page of the thread below. It discusses a problem that involves slipping a piece of paper behind the SIM card. The second page of the thread has a photo showing a piece of paper inserted behind said SIM card, so you can see where it is. It's not under the battery, it's above the battery. You'll still have to take out the battery because it obstructs the end of the SIM card slot.
