    i have the 8120,

when people try to call me it doesnt ring, and automatically goes to a recording, as if my phone was turned off. i was wondering if this is a common problem or if i should exchange or get the phone repaired. are there any possible solutions or reasons for my phone to do this?

I would call the carrier or take the device into a store to have it looked at... shouldn't do that (unless you forgot to pay your bill)

Even if the bill wasn't paid it won't go to Voicemail I don't think it would say something like the number doesn't exist

You bought it new or used? I have heard of many many problems with used phones (maybe purchased on ebay).

Has it been doing this since you got it or did it work at first? Did you check to make sure you don't have the "Do Not Disturb" option turned on?

well i have had this phone for about 3 days, the first time i was told of this happening was yesterday. my phone is brand new coming from my carrier when i signed up for a new contract. could it go on 'do not disturb' perhaps when its on very low battery, or while its charging. this morning the battery was dead, i put it on the charger, and when i went to unplug it, it was on :S so i was a little bit confused.

I would just take it back since it's so new, they should be able to figure it out.

They should give you a new phone - i believe you have 90 days to return/exchange free of charge if there is a problem.
