New BB owner - so please be nice! Just got my VZW Pearl 8130 for my birthday and it has become an addiction (so has this site!)

This site has been so helpful, but there is one problem I can't seem to solve. I have all of my contacts and calendar synced on my BB thru Outlook. Each contact has the birthday field filled out in outlook and is obviously in my calendar as a recurring appointment.

I have each birthday scheduled to go off as a reminder at a certain time. However, after syncing with BB, the reminder changes to "none" and I do not get a reminder. Yet it still says there is a reminder in outlook!

Please help! I love my blackberry pearl, just want to resolve this issue!
