    I tried to update my os but the apploader froze part way through.
    I'm getting app error 523.
    Can this be fixed?

    the apploader appears to freaze when it actually takes a really long time


    so yes try loading it again, if it does not work go to a T-mobile store and have them do it

    I let it sit for over 6hrs overnight and it still hadn't made any progress.
    Can T-mobile do this for free?

    NO, they will not do this. the only thing TMO will do is supply in the information and let you do it.

    OK I ran the apploader 1 more time and it said the update was completed.
    But now my phone is all black and white with no usual BB icons or colors. Its like bare a minimum OS. my faves, apps, media, and camera all do not work.
    Please help.

    Having seen that before, I think somewhere along the line the Latin TrueType
    font and/or the European font were deleted or corrupted. Best suggestion is
    to reload the OS on your PC and try reloading it on to the device after.
