how do you do that? when i try it says the application is not connected to server, does that mean i need internt service or can i use the LAN on my computer?

well i downloaded the latest version of the OS like you told me too and now im trying to upgrade my phone with it, but when i run the program it says it cannot sychronize because it cannt not detect a server, do i need internet conection? because i dont have that

Download the desktop manager for your phone onto your computer from the cd (with your phone). If you do not have the cd, you will need to go to your service providers website- via internet. Either way, you will need to connect your phone to your pc utilizing the USB Port. Hope this helps

i do that, my phone does connect but its not letting me update the version for some reason

You are very confusing... You are talking about different things again. Synchronizing is different from upgrading the OS.

that happens the moment that i start up Blackberry Desktop Manager, right after it randomly generates a device code

alright well i think i should be a BIS right
but i think i downloaded the BES but they both require internet on ur phone which i dont have so is that why this is happening to me?
