Hey guys,

I'm new to BBs in general and I was wondering what's the deal with applications for spring 8130? are there 3rd party apps? are there BB's own apps? if so, where can I get either, or both of them and how can I install them on my BB?

There are many apps for the 8130 and for BBs in general. They can be downloaded over the air or to your PC and then loaded from there.

Is there a website where I can "browse"? much like firefox?

and for 'air' I would probably have to have the blackberry service to get it through the browser right?

is there any way to gain access to interenet without the bb browser?

2) Operamini is an alternative to the native bb browser, but only the bb browser can be used for over the air downloads.

Welcome to CB you can gain internet access if your phone is WIFI enabled.

You can sort Handango by price and see the free stuff. Some of it is very good; e.g., Google Maps. It's always a good idea to search here before you buy anything. Chances are, somebody has an opinion. Also search here for "free apps." Someone else asked about free stuff a few days ago. Find that thread; you'll find some lists. Good hunting.
