I am very new to Blackberry and need a little help. I cannot find out how to check the available memory on my phone. I have wanted to put on Opera Mini and don't have available space. Can anyone help a newbie? I know I am missing out on alot of other stuff because I don't know how to properly use it. Thanks

Hey thanks guys for all your help and fast responses. I'll try your suggestions on running two browsers. In your opinion is Opera any better than the preloaded one? I am only running 895026 in my file free, which doesn't sound too good. What useless crap can I get rid of and how?

Than the 4.3 yes, the 4.5 no. But thats a matter of opinion. Some people really like opera. I never cared much for it.

ok. I just looked at the guide and realized that there is a bunck=h of crap on my phone that I have no idea what it is. Is there anything that I should not get rid of? I don't want to make my phone unuseable, but I would like it to be more friendly. Sometimes it'll sit with the waiting prompt for a couple of minutes! I'll go over the guide. Thanks

I know it seems scary! But just take your time and follow that guide and you'll be fine. First do you have a memory card? If not get one ASAP.

Yes I have a 2 gb on with about 1 gb of music. Do I need to remove the music?How does the media card actually help me?

No you're fine there. It gives you a place to put things instead of in the limited phone memory.

no problem, let me know how it goes. when you get done depending on what you dump you'll be running 17000000 to 21000000 bytes of free memory and you'll be smokin'

Got a Tour yesterday and used this thread to see where I was at. Checked out the "How To Free Up Memory" thread too. I'm currently around 12700000, so I should be ok.
