    Profiles>Advanced. Hover over the profile you wish to change, press Menu>Edit. From there you can change all alerts. Welcome to CB.

    I too have a new crackberry 8130 and want to try and change ringtone for text messages. I "hover" over profile, hit menu key and do not get an option for changing ringtone, only: Move, Hide, Show All Add Folder and Switch Application?

    Your Help is greatly appreciated.
