just follow the guide you'll be o.k. Don't forget to get the vendor.xml file out of there. Oh this helps too.....

do i go to this when the phone is plugged up? cause bd wont recognize my phone

Yeah I agree with Lex. This is a pretty technical and long (hour or two) process. And you already have questions to some of the more basic steps. How long have you had your bb? You may want to hold off until your more familiar with the device and the process. Stick around search and read the forums. Read the guide and the problems others have had and what they had to do to fix them. If you not careful you could damage your device and cause yourself some headache. Not to mention you void your warranty by installing betas.
on your pc go to (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader) the vendor file is usually at the bottom. delete it
and install 4.5 again
