I was in the process of updating the latest software version from Sprint. The phone was connected to the Desktop Manager during the update process. Just before it was finishing, the program crashed and the phone reset, but never finished the reset. Now the phone is totally frozen at the initial (hourglass) screen, no navigation at all. No desktop. It's just a "white screen of death". If I try to connect it to the PC, the DM crashes and closes. Is there some kind of hardware driven master reset for the handheld?

In this situation, do a battery pull first... this should get rid of the "white screen"

Then see what happens when you insert the battery... you will need to follow the guide in my signature ("How to Recover a Dead Berry")

Hope that helps Welcome to CrackBerry!!
