I just got my blackberry pearl from Verizon yesturday and was texting no problem but this morning everytime I send a message it automatically deletes the message i had sent and i don't get replies, my friends call "WHY HAVNT YOU WROTE BAK" lol so they are obviously writing bak im just not getting the message

I did the battery thing
and did the service book thing

I cleared my memory card thinking it was amemory problem.. What else could i try?

Memory card is not the same thing as device memory. It is a low memory issue. If you go to Options > Status, and look at File free, anything under aboug 11,000,000 bytes is dangerously low. The 8130 suffers notoriously from memory leak. Read the links below and follow the guide in the last link.
