Hey, just got a blackberry, think its awsome etc..
but i have put the SD card from my old nokia phone into my blackberry and it wont read it on the phone/desktop manager, and is asking me to format it, but i have alot of photos on there that i would much prefer to keep, any ideas?

You can get a memory card reader for the pc. They're pretty cheap. Then you can save all your things to the pc, format your card and put everything back on.
