Yep, it keeps restarting and verifying security stuff. I have connected with DM and it works fine. It's so random when it does this. It just started today after I did a battery pull on the phone. It is an AT&T phone that is on the AT&T network(not unlocked). I just did the update 2 weeks ago to the newest software from DM.
I did the wipe..reinstalled the OS..did NOT put on facebook..and it is still restarting. There are only the stock OS programs.. nothing else is installed.
So what happens is this. I start it up.. it loads.. loads... loads.... then I see the Cingular page.. I have to immediately press the red off key(end call key) and then it starts the security tests or else it will shut down and restart again if I don't. then I get to the main screen and it just looms.. I mean the hour glass is just going and going and going. then it stops and restarts.. or it just stops.. then no more than 2 minutes later though (never more than that) it will restart.
I have done a JL CMDR wipe. Reinstalled .124 operating system. Didn't do a backup restore. And I still get this restart problem. Should I go back to a previous OS? if so, which one?
Okey dokey. How old is your Pearl? With that amount of FFM, you may be looking at a battery problem causing this to keep restarting. I've read a couple of posts a while back regarding similar issues tied to a funky batt. If not that, you may be looking at an issue I'm not familiar with, so I yield to the more knowledgable.

well, I am not sure either. I will see if I can find a cheap battery. But I just did the Amazon thing. Bought a storm for 99.99 and a Curve 8330 for .01. So, the pearl and my old storm going up for auction. but berger, thanks for the attempted help. Appreciate it.
