My 8100 pearl keeps shutting off and restarting itself even though I have reinstalled the device OS and upgraded it to the latest version(4.2). It shus down if i'm playing the brickbreaker or even if i just want to input some information on the phone. Most times when this happens, i get a flashing red light and the flashlight comes on and flashes for a while.

Any Ideas? I am absolutely desperate!!

Have you tried a battery pull? Leave the phone at home screen and pull your battery out. Keep out for 30 sec and then reinsert.

At the moment, it's completely dead and no buttons work. I have even tried a battery pull a couple of times!! What more can oi do!!?

when you say dead what do you mean ? is the led flashing ? is there an hourglass on the screen ? will it even turn on at all you have to be more specific

my phone does the same thing. it restarts itself whenever i try to do something with it. it restarted rarely, but not it restarts every friggen time i try to call or look at my contacts. i have no clue what to do, any suggestions?

my phone did/does this with the 110 and .124 OS's. I am going to go back to a previous version OS I think..

to those whose phone is restarting, did you have a memory card installed when you did an upgrade?

If so, that could cause your reboot issues, remove the memory card and reinstall the OS without the card.
