I have been using the Pearl for a couple of years. My new one is giving me problems suddenly. The first row of keys is not working at all ( the trackball and 2 keys each on its side). The trackball moves up and down, but I cannot use it to select anything. If I press the green call button, it types out 'Ad'. The menu button gives no response, neither does the enter button. The red call disconnect button allows me to exit the menu.
But basically I am not able to make or receive calls, cannot open emails...cannot use the phone at all.
Welcome to CB. Have you tried a battery pull? With the phone on, remove the battery for 30 seconds, then put it back in. If this does not solve your issue, I would contact your carrier and ask for an exchange.
