Hi, Im new to the Blackberry Pearl and I can't figure out the Blackberry Maps function. Do I need internet access on my phone to use it? And if I do, is it possible to use it without internet? Thanks for helping if you do, if not, I hate you.

Yes, a data plan is need for maps to work. There's no storage option on your phone. It pulls the maps from the web.

and if you have or are getting the data plan, do away with BB maps and use google maps, in my opinion its WAY better

You can have the freedom keychain gps, withit you don`t need a data plan you save money. It works very well.
