I looked through a few of the other threads and didn't see one on point with this (although I could of missed it)...

My sister / friend both have the same pearl as me 8130. Now I'm about a week old w/ BB and new to the phone in general. BUT my sister and friends blink green all the time, and mine doesn't? Why is that? Is it a setting??

Any help on LED's would be great! Thanks!!

It can be turned on by:

Options>Screen/Keyboard>LED coverage indicator: On/Off

I would keep it off to save as much Battery power as you can.

I turned mine off cuz it drove me freakin crazy! Unless losing coverage is an issue for you....no real need for it, for me atleast.

ha... yep I turned mine off first night immediately after turning off lights for bed and seeing the bright green flashing beacon on my bedroom walls & ceiling!
