The 8120 does not have a built-in GPS. You'll have to buy an external bluetooth GPS. Several models are sold in the CrackBerry store. Google Maps should still work in trilateration mode, where it estimates your position based on the distance from cell towers. This will typically give your location to within 1700-m. True GPS will give you 3-m accuracy.
Unfortunately though not very well. When I am at work it gives my location very accurately, However, When I am in my house it tells me I am about 15 minutes up the major highway. Not at all accurate! So it works sometimes but not always.

My 8120 used to have the BBmaps originaly installed, but I erased last week. Now, when I try to download it ,appears thisnotice: (sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry maps)
I have the google maps, but I prefer the BBmaps.
Please , can anybody help me?
Thank u
The version of BBMaps that's available for OTA download is for older OS versions. Current OS versions include BBMaps as part of the OS load, so you have to install BBMaps using the App Loader. Run Desktop Manager App Loader and check the box for BBMaps. That will install it.
