I just signed up with T-Mobile a week ago and got this awesome red pearl 8100.

First I learned the phone part, which is great.

I didn't order the internet service because of the extra $20 a mo.

But I found I could DL ringtones to it from my PC via USB. I'm using the ringtone from "24". Very cool!

But then a little lightbulb came on in my head tonight. Chess! I love chess and have CM 9000 on the PC here.

So I dug around and found this little free chess app to try:

I searched around for how to install it without internet svc and found a post here, created the directory etc., then tried the technique, but it failed when I got to the end and tried to install it in my BB.

Now does this app just not work with the 8100 like it says it should?

I'm also intrigued to see there's a version of CM ( Chessmaster ) for the 8100 out there for only about $6 but I thought that was sold by Ubisoft and this one is from some company in UK, so I wonder if it's legit. I also want to be sure I can get this thing working without the internet service first.

Help?
