Okay guys and girl, I have a pearl from U.S. Cellular and need to use it on alltel. I uploaded alltels software to the blackberry but apparently didn't make a difference. The update took fine but I still am stuck on U.S. cellular's network. Please help!!!!!

If you haven't contacted Alltel to add the phone to their network, it won't work.

What software did you add to the phone? If you loaded the latest OS, it won't affect which network the phone will work on; may only change some features.

You don't generally use one CDMA carrier's device with a different CDMA carrier than the phone is branded to.

I agree - I always thought for CDMA you had to get a new device. Let us know if you're able to resolve this issue - I'm curious now...
