i am a first time BB user got some questions regarding some of the features on the BB. if anyone can enlighten me please let me know.
1. Blackberry IM
Do i need an active internet to make it work? what if i only have tzones?

2. where to download cool stuff?
for new themes that works on the 8220 or even programs.

Yes you need the data plan. And look here for themes Themes4BB.com| Free BlackBerry Themes|New BlackBerry Bold and Storm Custom Themes. they might have some for the 8220

tZones will not work. You'll have to sign up for the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) through T-Mobile. This will give you full access to the BB funtions including IM's, email and web browsing.
