Call your carrier! I know Cingular / AT&T can change it for you. I had mine set to 30 seconds...
I have heard that Verizon can extend it as well.

No, if your carrier can't do it then there is no other way. Although, perhaps you should try talking to someone else in tech support? I don't know how Rogers cs is, but I know when you call Verizon some people say that something is impossible and the next time you call they say they can do it no problem.
