    Hey all

    I just got my Pearl 8130 and it is not letting me set up any of my email addresses??? Just wondering if anyone had a similar prob...maybe i have a setting wrong or somethin...thanks

    i'll ask this first like i always do, are you sure they set you up on a data plan. if they did what is it telling you in setup

    Yes... Do you have your data plan? And did you follow all the steps to setup your email in the setup wizard?

    Yes I have a data plan...i have a personal account thru hotmail and a work email...they both say...an error occurred during account validation. I tried the wizard...it let me set up my blackberry email but that's it.

    Is the device new? I had the same problem with one purchased off ebay and the original owner did not clear out the pin or IMEI number so I could not set up my own. After multiple phone calls to the carrier, I had to go into the store and have the sales rep do it...once they cleared it - not a problem!
