Hi all,

I have this problem with my Blackberry Pearl that the earpiece suddenly stopped working. Speaker phone is still working. Tried all sorts of reboots, but nothing helps. I spoke to the warranty dept and they sent me a replacement phone which is a refurbished one. It doesnt even look new! (Mine is just 5 months old! ) I am trying to do backup from old phone and restore to new one, backup is complete, then when I'm trying to run application loader with the new phone, it gives this error message "could not establish communications with the device. Required application is missing from the device." and it is not even recognizing the device. What am I missing? Also, has anyone ever received a new phone as replacement under warranty? Pls help!
