I dropped my blackberry from about 3 feet today. When i picked it up it had a white screen and was unresponsive until i pulled the battery. When i put it back in i get a red LED for about 1 second and goes off. Phone wont turn on at all.
AT&T doesn't offer insurance for the BlackBerry but if you've had your phone less than a year than you get it replaced for free because it would still be under warranty. Give them a call and tell them that you need another one.
Have you tried to connect it to your computer with an USB-cable? Because it could be the battery that failed (don't know if this can happen, but you give it a go). That way it would still start-up.
I have at&t too. My BB Curve stopped working so I called them. They don't offer insurance for the phone yet but it's still under warranty for a year. They sent me out a replacement overnight with no problems.

ATT Warranty won't replace your Berry if there was physical damage. Even if you lie and say there wasn't and they find out (since you have to mail it back to them)... they will charge you for the phone!!!!!!!
Well try to charge the thing. But give it a second off the battery. Sad to say I've dropped my bb many a times and still working and going strong. Thank god for my rubber skin and screen protector.

"Hello. Is that the AT&T helpline. Hi there, my Blackberry has stopped working. It's new and I really need it. What are you going to do about this please. I can't make any calls so you are losing revenue and I can't work."
