So ... I got a new 8120 the other day, and to be honest... I LOVE IT ... BUT...

The first time I configured network on the wifi menu, it showed "UMA" in large and I made a call while on it and it was ... well it wasn't great but it was free...so ok...

Ever since then... that connection went out that nite, and I configured new ones on it, and I have even connected to that connection at my friend's house AGAIN... and i have yet to see "UMA" come up again- EVER!

    What do I do?

    I find rebooting helps.

If you haven't downloaded it yet get soft reset. You will find it listed a million times on this site.

There are a couple things that can go wrong, good thing the diagnostics are built in, it helps to sort it out.

Connections / Wifi Options / Wifi Diagnostics...

Is there an error message? It should say connected and show you your network name.
