I'm working on my third 8220 in two years and for the third time, the Bluetooth has died (none of the tricks suggested in these forums has gotten it to work in any of them). The Bluetooth has worked an average of about only eight months a phone. I bought the current phone from Adorama, an on-line and brick-and-mortar camera and electronics retailer in New York City; it is an unlocked T-Mobile European model, made in Hungary and running the .308 OS. (I suspect it's considered a grey market phone. In case anyone thinks I'm a masochist, the second phone was a warranty replacement by T-Mobile and the third was purchased with the proceeds from a credit-card supplied extended warranty.)

My question is has anyone heard of anyone getting some consideration from RIM on this model of lemon ... I mean phone? Three straight failures is ridiculous, especially since I use the phone very lightly and treat it gently. Bluetooth is not new, untried technology.

    Thank you.
