First off how do you send Picture messages? Secondly how do you get the Blackberry Messenger to work?

if you didnt subscribe to the blackberry data package then you cant.

I suspect your signal says edge or gprs in lowercase?

You need the data add on from your service provider

aft a pic is taken it displays the pic then under are four options (icons) save, trash, crop and save, and msg. You click on the message icon and it will have several different types of pic msg nd you just choose 1.
