If I take a ATT pearl 8100 and completely wipe the os and install my T-Mo os could i use my sim in it? i know it sounds a little far fetched but am looking for something different since my white pearl is dinged up.

No. Doesn't work that way. You would need to get the device's SIM subsidy lock unlocked.
