No, it won't work. Only the original pearl (8100) had multicolored LED's underneath the trackball. The 8110/8120/8130 only has 1 white LED.
Some have colored it with a Sharpie or erasable marker, but that voids your warranty, so before taking it in for warranty if you choose to go this route, take a q-tip and wipe off the marker.
i have heard that removing your trackball and placing a small colored paper over the led light will make the color of the track ball change to whatever color piece of paper is there
i just recently spent 4 hours researching this whole colorpearl thing but it only works on the original 8100..what i did was use some tweezers to take the metal ring off then dump the ball out then theres a small white rectangle in the bottom right which is where the light comes through i just took some tape and colored it with my favorite color then cut it really small to fit over the white rectangle then put it all back together and there you have it
yeah i did the same thing but with a sharpie and i notice after a while its starts to fade and you have to keep doing it so i would go more for the paper or tape route
