    after I upgraded my blackberry 8100 to OS to 4.5, my desktop manager 4.5 not detecting connection. I have two phones that I upgraded at the same time and other phone connects with no problem.

    Try this, disconnect BB from USB, pull battery wait 15sec & put back in, close DM, reopen DM, wait for BB to finish reboot, plug back into DM, pray.

    hate to say it but I upgraded to 4.7 and then pulled the battery and for whatever reason it worked. still can't sync emails but everything else works.

    Why'd you dl 4.7? Email sync could be a phone setting or BIS. Did it work before?
