    Hi -
    I've search here and googled but can't seem to find an answer on this.

    I have the 8130 with, running desktop manager (same problem running 4.6).

    My problem is when I try to do a backup of the device I get "unknown error". Orignally it was hanging on the password keeper, so I removed it from my pearl now the message appears in different spots and I'm not sure how to fix it.

    I have done the follow to try and solve the problem.
    Battery pulls
    Restarting the Windows OS
    Unistalling/reinstalling Blackberry Desktop
    Upgrading and downgrading blackberry Desktop

    Nothing seems to be helping. I was wondering if anyone has any other suggestions to try.

    That's a tough one! It sounds like something is amiss in whichever database is being processed during the backup. Look at the desktop manager log for clues. Maybe using desktop manager Backup/restore > Advanced to delete the data base on the handheld then performing a re-sync may fix it.
