I have v4.2.196 software, which is supposed to be able to view .wmv files but my 8100 doesn't recognize it and gives me an error. "Media being played is of an unsupported format" ? Any help!

Wmv files are not supported by blackberries.

Ok, no .wmv files. How do I convert .wmv file to .MP4 or something Blackberry will read .bb?

I have tried a multitude of programs/conversion(including aiseesoft/roxio media manager/super/handbrake/AVS)and different schemes/settings to convert my .wmv file to a supported Blackberry format. The audio on the converted file is out of sync with the video on mp4 and 3gp formats and avi just has bad quality. Any suggestions?

Try setting Super up like this:



When it prompts you which format when saving, use either FMP4 or MP4V.

I use blackberry video converter or real player converter and both work like a charm. plus they're free.
