can you upgrade the camera on a BB 8100 so it can record videos?

OS 4.5 will enable video recording on the 8100. It isn't out officially for Tmobile. But you can get it from another carrier and install it if you feel comfortable doing so. There is a sticky thread at the top of this forum with all the details.

Doesn't the 8100 lack the hardware to be able to record video? I've read that on here before.

Yeah BB 8100 doesnt support it, but you still can enable de video recording ... anyway is pretty useless right now because it has some problem with the color codes and records in a greenish tone... anyway is nice to have video record in 8100...

I think someone, sooner or later will discover those color codes and finally BB8100 will have full video recording capabilities...

thats just the curve, but not the pearl, so were all screwed, like they said before it doesnt have the hardware to have a video camera

But if im able to record videos, then that does mean that it have hardware to have video camera, right
