I've looked at the E71. Nothing was too impressive about it or jumped out at me. The OS looks pretty dated. The same old ugly default Nokia fonts. The phone doesn't look as polished as any BB. Also, drop your E71 a bunch of times and see if it still works. I don't abuse mine and try not to drop them at all but I've accidentally dropped mine a few times over the years (on snow covered ice, asphalt, hardwood floors, etc) and they still keep working great.
Let me ask you this, if BBs aren't real smartphones, why are they the smartphone of choice for business professionals?Last edited by rbrodeur; 07-18-09 at 08:06 PM.
07-18-09 07:59 PMLike 0 - I first would like to thank you for the laughs i got out of this post....
We should start a bet: How long is he gonna last...
count me for: a week...07-20-09 12:27 AMLike 0 - Nokia a real smartphone? I've had a lot of phones (Nokia included) and RIM makes the best phones hands down. They may have stumbled with the Storm but I think they'll get it right with the Storm 2. I have had a few BBs (7100, 7280, 8700, 8100 and 8300) and they were all SOLID smartphones. They are built to last and they work beautifully.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com07-23-09 10:55 PMLike 0 - lol my bf wants one and we actually took a trip to Best Buy last night so we could compare the them with the 8330 which I would love for him to have I or the Tour)...I actually like the trackpad better than the trackball...but I'm a crackberry fanatic for life!07-24-09 02:29 PMLike 0
- Actually, I'm a business professional, who, after many years exclusively using Nokia's have switched to a Bb. So far, I've found the Bb riddled with proprietary software, lacking in available third party applications, (documents to go is a paltry app in comparison to those on your standard nokia) slow, (even with memory upgrades & complete OS re-install) less cost-efficient data-wise, and a tad delicate... think I'll be switching back to the trusty nokia, perhaps an e75 (which are, incidentally, perfectly capable of taking a few solid drops!)
I think this poster is a Nokia fanboy just wanting to trash BBs. If you are a business professional, why are you using a Pearl and not a Bold or at least a Curve?07-30-09 09:45 PMLike 0
