I recently attempted to update the Microsoft Messenger application on my phone using AppWorld.
Afterwards, it told me that it failed..
However, the application DID get upgraded.. but now no longer exists, according to the application manager - and memory-related features - saving of password and logging - no longer function.
I was wondering how I could properly remove the app and reinstall it?
-- it also seems to be taking up a significant amount of extra memory since the failed upgrade.
genomos: Yes, was just hoping there might be another way.
thymaster: that advice being rather useless, I will ignore it for the following reaons.:
Solo, while connected to Bell, does not run the same OS version.
It's not BBM, but MSN messenger that's broken.
It's not the icon that's missing, it's the entry in the applications list.
Oh hey, just occurred to me that the problem might simply be a name change - MSN messenger is now Windows Live; if that's in your app list then it explains why you have the icon, and that it works, and where your memory usage went. Getting all technical before I even checked to see if things were plugged in, so to speak :P

Haha, me too, otherwise I would have caught that earlier lol
I'm out of ideas aside from wiping and reinstalling the OS again. If you do go that route, I recommend following BigBadWulf's guide
