Her phone hasn't been updated in ages (8130 on Alltel) so I plugged it into DM and everything was fine. Late in the update process it gave a fatal exception and shut everything down. Now when I turn it on the GUI is no where to be seen, at the top of the "menu" it says BlackBerry Platform 3.4.0.41 and I get an error message that says "Uncaught exception java.lang.NullPointerException".
I'm downloading the OS now and I'm treating as though it was a "nuked" berry, just wondering if anyone has any idea why it may have done this?

I ran updates on my Pearl today for the 1st time in 9 months. I was off the chain scared something would go wrong. Luckily it didn't.
I would simply try to run the updates again. If you were interupted for any reason and had to unplug your device b4 the updates were finished it will render your bb useless until said updates are installed successfully.
