Hello!

I just got a BlackBerry Pearl 8120 and I love it!!
I just have one question. Sometimes, when it's sitting on my desk, and NOT in standby/sleep mode, I'll pick it up, and its screen will just turn on, without me pushing any buttons at all. If I put it back down, its screen will turn right off. Other times, however, when I pick it up, its screen won't turn on until I push a button.

Does anyone know why it is inconsistent like this? How could I make it so that it always turns on when I pick it up?

Is it possible that when it turns off and on you are setting it on your slip case? Mine will do that because with the magnet in the case, it thinks its being holstered and removed.

Ha ha when I first started reading this I thought your BB had some kind of pre-emptive mind but I forgot about the magnet in the case. I haven't used mine in quite a while as you can tell
