The phone is on, and the charging symbol is showing next to the battery, but neither the percent of battery (found in the status menu), nor the battery icon are increasing, and when I restart the phone the battery is in exactly the same spot as i left it. Anyone know what's wrong?

okay, I solved my own problem, If this happens it may be the charger you are using. So try switching chargers before getting a new phone or battery.
