ok. here it is. i have got a Blackberry Pearl 8130 from Verizon with the unlimited Data package. also i have a mini laptop which a carry with me to college. im just wondering if i could use my Pearl as a modem for my laptop to access internet at college. if its possible please include directions on how to do it.

You need to pay for the tethered option which is $15 per month. You then need to install the VZAccess Manager.

I'm on TMO and tethering is included but my friend is on Verizon and says he used this.

It's 50 bucks one time fee. You have to read it - I do not know if it works with your phone. It's cheaper than a monthly cost.
