when i connect my bb to my computer and go to the application loader wizard i get an error saying: The BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer.
how do i fix that??

You need to download the Device Software from Verizon that matches what is installed on your Pearl. Go to Options > About to verify your version. Then login on Verizon and you should be able to download and install the current OS.
